Course details

The NMBA Registration Standards for English Language Skills (March 2019) offer extended education pathway for nurses. This requirement includes five years of full-time study in vocational education and higher education. The Diploma Extended Education Pathway – RN Program is a package program covering Entry care skillset program, Certificate IV in Ageing Support, Diploma of Nursing and Bachelor of Nursing program. The extended pathway program comes with a 2-year stay back in Australia.

  • CHCSS00114 – Entry into Care Roles Skill Set + CHC43015 – Certificate IV in Ageing Support (1 year)
  • HLT54121 – Diploma of Nursing (1 1/2 years)

Upon successful registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) as a Registered nurse you may gain employment in various healthcare facilities, which may include:

To be able to apply for the DEEP-RN program, students will be required:

  • To successfully complete year 12
  • Provide a signed statutory declaration for English requirement for APHRA registration stating that they are pursuing an extended education pathway package
  • Get entry into care skillset – Certificate III in Individual Support in India, followed by Certificate IV in Ageing Support (1 year) and Diploma of Nursing 1.5 years in Australia
