You will acquire specialised knowledge of the accounting discipline, comprising technical skills and critical thinking. In addition, gaining skills to collect, measure, and communicate financial information in a range of situations.
This degree contains a set of core units in accounting, information systems, auditing, economics, finance, statistics, business and law. There are optional majors in Advanced Accounting, Finance Agribusiness, Business Analysis and Transformation in addition to the core.
The Bachelor of Accounting allows you to choose elective units from other disciplines across the University as an alternative to these majors. You might choose a set of units that will equip you for a career in a particular industry.

UNE’s Bachelor of Accounting offers you the technical and theoretical accounting knowledge along with analytical skills. You also acquire communication and financial skills to be successful in a wide range of careers across all sectors. As an accountant you get the opportunity to work with retailers, charities and record labels and not just an accounting firm. You get to work as the following among others:

- Corporate Finance
You must meet English language requirements for admission to UNE. These requirements apply regardless of where or how you plan to study. It is important that you can read, write and speak English well because this will help you succeed at university in Australia.
If English is not your first language, you can demonstrate your skills by passing an approved English language test.
Or, if you have studied in an English-speaking country, you can show UNE proof of satisfactory course completion. You must have studied for at least one year full-time in the last five years to meet this requirement. Your teacher must also have instructed the class in English.
Alternatively, you can show that you got a passing grade or better in an English language subject at Australian Year 12 level. UNE will also accept an overseas equivalent subject.
